drg illustration is essentially just little old me. I have a background in art and illustration, but somewhere along the line I ended up “getting a proper job” or three, in order to pay the bills.
After a few fun years of working in professional theatre, I went back to school, completed my post grad in education, and became a teacher of English, drama, and media studies. A hugely rewarding vocation that, more that a little frustratingly, was cut short in the early years of the millennium by a medical condition I wasn’t even aware I had at the time. For the last decade and a half I’ve been ‘playing with computers’ (as my daughter puts it), or working in the exciting and ever-advancing world of IT.
However, whilst not hob-nobbing with the stars, teaching our country’s youth, or helping connect an ever shrinking globe to an ever increasing world of technology, I’ve been scribbling away with my pens, pencils, and tablet, producing illustrations and artwork for anybody who wants it.
