Very excited about a new theatre project. More details to follow.
I was lucky enough to get a pair of tickets for the ‘one night only’ return to UK shores of Helloween. We drove down to Brixton, London on the afternoon of 14th November 2017, and queued, with a legion of fans, to watch the dream line up of ‘Pumpkins United’,
As Deris, Gerstner, Grosskopf, Hansen, Kiske, Loble, and Weikath made their entrance, launched into their seminal track ‘Halloween’, my heart leapt, I became seventeen again, and strugged to hold back the tears of shear, unadulterated ruddy joy. But for the sad absence of the late, great, Mr Ingo Schwichtenberg, an old fan like me finally got to see the ‘Live in the UK’ I’d missed all those years ago… and some.
Tickets may still be available for the last few dates of the tour: HERE
I started sketching an update/tribute to the classic 1989 ‘Live in the UK’ album cover (by the legendary Frederick Moulaert) as soon as I got home. It sad languishing on my hard drive until last week, when I picked it up again, and finally got round to finishing it. So here it is.
I’ve done my best to replicate the style, colour, and feel of the original 1989 cover, updating and adding band members for 2017/2018. My thanks ( and apologies) to Mr Moulaert; I hope my version does not offend.

Inspired by his ‘Brexit’ remix of ‘I’m British’. Modeled in DAZ3D, and touched up in GIMP. Be sure to check out the track HERE.
I draw this one during Mr Trump’s state visit to the UK, and following the slew of news coverage dedicated to his punctuality when meeting with Queen Elizabeth.
A little out of date now, but hey… Dx
The term BREXIT, to refer to the UK, has bothered me since it was adopted, first by the media as a whole, and then by the politicos, both of whom should know better.
Or maybe excluding Northern Ireland from the debate was the intention all along. ‘Whatever you do… don’t mention the wall.’
Listening to the BBC’s excellent ‘News Qujz Extra’ podcast this afternoon. Chuffed to hear the elephantine dentist, and occasional satirical legend, Andy Hamilton, use the same “Schrödinger's Brexit” gag.
Validation at last.
Wincing at the press conference this evening with Mrs May, who seemed genuinely surprised when the already dead ‘Chequers Plan’ wasn’t welcomed with open arms by the rest of the EU.
‘Emperor’s New Clothes’ anybody?
I’m so glad that I re-felted the roof out here last week, as the rain’s coming down hard.
My thoughts go out to the many poor souls out there suffering far worse at the hands of the hurricanes.
